Dr. Christine Abbt presented a talk titled “Verkörperungen des Grauens/Embodiments of the horror”. The lecture which took place in Abbt & Bauer’s collaboration in the Kabinett ended in a discussion with the artist Marc Bauer, Dr. Christine Abbt and the audience, moderated by Mirjam Varadinis.

Referat von Dr. Christine Abbt, Dozentin und Wissenschaftliche Assistentin am Lehrstuhl für Politische Philosophie der Universität Zürich, zum Thema:
Verkörperungen des Grauens/ Embodiments of the horror
Ausgehend von Ovids Metamorphosendichtung geht Christine Abbt verschiedenen Verwandlungen in Literatur und Philosophie nach, in denen Angst eine zentrale Rolle spielt und politische Konsequenzen hat. Das im Referat thematisierte Verhältnis von Angst, Verwandlung und Politik greift Aspekte und Motive auf, die auch im Raum durch die Ausstellung sichtbar werden.
Im Anschluss: Diskussion zwischen dem Künstler Marc Bauer und Christine Abbt, die für die Präsentation im Kabinett eng zusammengearbeitet haben.
Das Referat ist in deutscher Sprache, die Diskussion in Englisch.
